Armenian Physicists Made Precise Measurements of one of the Most Important Characteristics of the Primary Cosmic Ray Radiation
Armenian physicists precisely measured one of the most important characteristics of the primary cosmic ray radiation the size spectra of the Extensive Air Showers. Data obtained were a result of Extensive Air Shower measurements conducted at the Mt. Aragats high altitude stations over many years. The size spectra are directly correlated with the energy spectra of Galactic Cosmic Rays in the vicinity of the Earth. This fundamental feature allows us to unravel the most intriguing puzzle of Cosmic Ray Physics: the source and acceleration mechanisms of cosmic rays.
Reports made by the Armenian physicists at the International Conferences in Dubna (Russia) and Lodz (Poland) demonstrate the high quality of the data and research at the Mt. Aragats cosmic ray stations in Armenia. The presentations by the Armenian physicists were among the most interesting reports presented on mentioned conferences. Abstracts of Lodz presentations and full-text Dubna presentations are available online at http://crdlx5.yerphi.am/news/conferences/index.html) The experimental installations on Mt. Aragats stations are continuing their monitoring and data registration. New interesting results are expected this year.
